The Importance of Split Testing (or A/B Testing)

A/B testing or split testing is as it sounds, an experiment where we test two different versions of a landing page simultaneously. Applied to your pages, A/B testing is the disciplined application of regular testing to ensure you’ll have the best version of your Landing Page optimized for conversions.

Better results in less time. Continuous improvement of campaigns. Multi-page, multi-variant optimization.

We choose what to test—copy, layout, image, design, color, interaction, and more—then we enter in the variants of each and start testing.

How To Split Test for High Conversions

Split Testing is the act of running a simultaneous experiment between two or more pages to see which performs or converts the best. Despite the name (A/B testing), the experiment can be conducted with as many pages as desired.

Once we have decided what to test on your landing page (e.g. headline, call to action, photography, adding a video, etc.) – we create new versions (or variants) of your page to enter into the experiment.

It works like this:

  1. Determine the winners
  2. Combine winners into a new test
  3. Determine the new winner
  4.  Continue until it has evolved into your best-performing design
